Santa Fe Railyard

PROPERTY LISTINGS

Welcome to the Santa Fe Railyard District, a vibrant and charming venue that once stood as a blighted assortment of buildings surrounding the old Santa Fe Railway station. Today, the Railyard is a hub of activity and an excellent example of urban renewal.

RAILYARD HISTORY

The Santa Fe Railway brought curious visitors to Santa Fe in 1880, but by the 1980s, the area surrounding the railyard had fallen into disuse. In a bold move, the City of Santa Fe purchased the land from the railroad and worked with residents to develop a plan for the best use of the 37-acre site.

Thanks to the hard work and input of citizens, the city, and even volunteer architects, the Railyard District underwent a massive transformation. A master plan was approved in 2002, and the Railyard opened with a grand celebration in September 2008, drawing over 10,000 visitors, including those who arrived on the RailRunner Express commuter train.

Since then, the Railyard has become a beloved part of Santa Fe. Visitors and residents alike enjoy exploring the area's new and repurposed buildings, each one offering unique shopping, dining, and art experiences. Whether you're searching for the perfect piece of art created by a Santa Fe artist, ingredients for a delicious meal, or a new pair of hiking boots, the Railyard District has something for everyone. So come and experience the magic of the Railyard District, a place that has been revitalized and now thrives as a bustling community hub.

WHAT ELSE IS AT THE RAILYARD?

In addition to the many local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and art destinations, the Railyard offers a plethora of outdoor spaces and activities for visitors and residents to enjoy.

With acres of greenspace set aside, the Railyard boasts numerous picnic areas, a performance green, a children’s play area, and tree-lined open spaces. These areas provide ample opportunities to relax, play, and enjoy the natural beauty of Santa Fe.

For those looking to call the Railyard home, there are two residential buildings within the district. These buildings provide easy access to downtown, as well as the area's many restaurants, shops, and recreational activities. Plus, with convenient access to the RailRunner commuter train, residents can easily explore all that Santa Fe has to offer.

Whether you're a visitor or a resident, the Railyard District has something for everyone. Come explore this vibrant community and experience all that it has to offer!
