One of the quintessential Santa Fe drives is to head out on Bishops Lodge and follow the road down the rolling hills to the quaint village of Tesuque.
While Tesuque, or in Tewa, Tetsuge Owingeh is a census-designated place with 909 people at the time of the 2000 census, it is also one of New Mexico’s 19 Pueblos and a member of the Eight Northern Pueblo’s.
The town of Tesuque is separate from the pueblo which was named a historic district in the National Registery of Historic Places in 1973.
The town of Tesuque has long been a favorite of reclusive movie stars, musicians and horse lovers drawn to the Tesuque river and the sweeping mountain views. Link to homes and land for sale in the Tesuque area.
