Get to Know Eldorado

Of all the Santa Fe neighborhoods, Eldorado is a place unto its own—with a shopping center, grocery store, gym and hairdresser, it is possible to never leave. A census designated place and a part of the Santa Fe Metropolitan area, the population was 6,130 at the time of the 2010 census.

Just a 20 minute drive from Santa Fe, Eldorado is known for having a top rated elementary school and being horse friendly.

Get Out & Walk the Dog

The Eldorado Community Center boasts beautiful grounds, a children’s playground, the community pool and a dog park.

The Community Center is the most used amenity of the Association. Every week there are 40 to 50 different events going on in the building. There are boy scouts, girl scouts, bridge groups, seniors, a children’s theater group, and many others that use the facilities. The building and grounds are also used for graduations and weddings and other community events. The Community Center also has offices that are used for the day-to-day business of the Association.   • The dog park is for the exclusive use of Eldorado owners.
  • Owners and dogs enter at your own risk.
  • Your dog must be registered in ECIA office and have a red tag to enter.
  • Children are required to be closely supervised by an adult.
  • Dog waste must be put in a trash can.
  • No liquor, smoking or weapons in the dog park.

All dogs must:

  • Have a record of current immunizations, spaying or neutering on file with ECIA.
  • Wear an ECIA red dog tag on prominent display be leashed anywhere on ECIA property except in the dog park.
  • Be removed from the dog park when aggressive behavior is exhibited.

La Plancha de Eldorado

La Plancha (The Grill) de Eldorado opened July 1, 2010,and is owned and operated by Juan Carlos Pineda and his family (Lidia, Juan Carlos Jr., and Tatiana). Head chef Pineda has worked in several restaurants before deciding to open his own. His food combines Latin flavors with traditional New Mexican foods.

Hours: Monday- Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm
Closed Sunday

Strip mall outpost of Santa Fe Brewing for people in or around Eldorado. 14 taps, cider, wine and TV’s.

Located south of Santa Fe, just off of Highway 285. In addition to beer, the Eldo Taproom also has the NFL Ticket and is a great place to watch football, soccer or any game. Rumor has it that it may have been built so our owner could have a good beer bar close to his house.
